About the re-creation process of my favourite Marseille, The Hes Tarot
My blue paint is really strong, so it is a little bit too much here. Anyway I like her. There is one important thing to mention here, we cannot find the Cross symbol on her clothes or as a jewelry.
An other thing to notice…..the top of her tiara is – like one table leg on the Magician card – not in the main picture, but in the field where the roman numeral is.
A rather stout young man……. as in other Marseille decks, the ground does not continue on the left side of the card. One of the table legs is in the same field as the title and so left uncoloured. You can read more about The Magician card, and the making here.

Painted using plants like madder, ligustrum vulgare……. I have already written about the Fool and you can see in one of my previous posts the black and white drawing.
